I interpreted this jam's theme slightly more broadly, because i knew *everyone* would be making a game with time rewinding or like, set in different eras or something. I thought that more simple time manipulation would be a bit novel while still fitting the theme. YOMI hustle was a huge inspo for me.
Time is a crucial element in 1%. Every action you take weighs time against your ever-draining power, or against incoming enemy attacks. While you dont travel backwards in time, you have to be *very* intentional about your actions traveling forwards in time.

TIPS
For anyone struggling - This game actually has some hidden tech, very similar to mordhau's "drags" and "accels",
if you spin your character in the direction of your sword's swing, it will come out faster. And if you spin your character in the opposite direction, the swing will come out slower.
If you're caught with not enough time left to parry an attack, maybe try spinning in the direction of your swing. you'll miss the deflect, but you're more likely to survive.
